History/Background Story: Atsuko was brought up a part of the Nara clan, in Konohagakure. To her parents, Annu and Maaku, she was their only child. She a a very plain childhood, neither completely obedient or a miscreant. She enrolled in the academy of Konohagakure aged ten. Even at that age, her peers regarded her as a popular icon. She was cool, calm and collected – with talent to boot. As a favoured daughter of the Nara clan, she was of course, good at using their Kekkei Genkai - Shadow control. When she graduated the academy two years later, she began to train with it.
She was assigned to a team almost immediately after leaving the academy. It took her a while to adjust to the new life and her teammates. They found her to be somewhat arrogant and vain. She worked hard to fashion a new image – a quietly confident young woman. After settling in, she was an asset to her team. Unlike some of the other teams of her generation, hers stayed the same (same Genin and Jounin) until she was highly ranked enough to regularly complete missions on her own. Her sensei put her up for the Chuunin exams when they next came around.
She progressed to the finals, even to the final fight. She lost, but impressed the elders enough to earn the rank of Chuunin. Noticing that her skills needed sharpening for this new role, she spent six months in solid training, even forsaking her team. When she returned, her skills were impressive. Along with her team, she began embarking on more dangerous missions.
Eighteen months later, she attained the rank of Jounin. She now seeks a team of her own, to guide just as well (if not better) than her sensei did for her.
Roleplay Sample: It was the end of her first year as a Jounin. Frankly, Tsukiko thought, it hadn't been that different from being a Chuunin. She hadn't been on many Jounin-level missions, nor had she been given a team. Granted, she was still pretty new to it. She was looking forward to that - having a team. When she had been a part of one, she had had some of the best times of her entire life – after settling in, however. Now, more separated from her friends than ever before, she wondered how much she'd actually enjoy being a Jounin.
As these thoughts swam around in circles in her head, Tsukiko heard her footsteps soften. She stopped to look down, and then around her. Grass had cushioned her feet. "That was quick." She muttered, sitting down. This part of the lake was always quiet. Tsukiko found she could write her stories and poems here without interruption. She took a few crumpled bits of paper and a pencil from her pocket. For the first time in that day, she smiled. "It's not so bad." She murmured.

A few hours later, the young Jounin folded up the paper, the ink scribbled across it now dry. Sliding it back into her pocket, she stood up and stretched. The sun was beginning to set, and she was needed elsewhere. Before even taking one step, she stopped. She could hear commotion not far from her. She began to run towards the noise. It wasn't long before her eyes picked out the source from quite a distance. Speeding up, she arrived to a scene of broken market stalls and a seven-man brawl. She knew none of these men had any combat training, so this would be a doddle. Analyzing the situation, she moved from one man to the other in the order she had figured to be the quickest. A palm strike on the first's spine, another on the second's neck, one, two, three more to each of the people in turn. Sweeping the last off of his feet with a kick, she straightened up and stared at them. "Clear this mess up. I don't know or care what this was about." She turned heel and strode away, unable to hide a grin.

Description: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. Unlike other clones, the Byakugan can’t detect them because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person. Any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed.
